Cheyenne Frontier Days Morning Star Indian Village
The current Indian Village at Cheyenne Frontier Days has long been established to provide Native Americans the venue to tell their stories of the American West – Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. Multiple tribes gathered during Cheyenne Frontier Days, establishing the yearly event as an opportunity for diverse Native American tribes to come together and celebrate their unique cultures.
Indian Village currently sits behind fencing on the most eastern corner of Frontier Park, hidden from passing pedestrians. This prompted CFD to ask for our help in creating a master plan to help draw more people to the village. The project’s main goals included expanding on the educational opportunities of all Native American culture, providing secure buildings for vendors and performers, and providing a village that can be used by the community during the other 355 days a year. The new Indian Village, now called Morning Star Indian Village, is set to open for Cheyenne Frontier Days events in 2026.
